TechTool Protection is a system preference pane component that ships with TechTool Pro, Micromat's comprehensive Mac maintenance and diagnostics utility. It monitors your Mac's hardware health in real time, checking for I/O errors, power-on self-test errors, battery condition on notebooks, and RAID status where applicable. TechTool Pro itself includes a suite of tools for drive repair, volume rebuilding, partition repair, SMART monitoring, memory testing, processor benchmarking and network interface diagnostics. A native Apple Silicon build has been confirmed running on Macs in the Rosetta Check community.
