WebP

WebP is a QuickLook generator plugin developed by Codingrobots — it is not a standalone application, so it cannot be updated independently. QuickLook generators are system extensions bundled inside their vendor's app or installer. To update this component to a native Apple Silicon build, you need to reinstall or update the parent Codingrobots WebP app through the vendor's official installer. Check the Codingrobots website or your original download source for any available updates to the WebP app package; running the installer will automatically replace the QuickLook generator with its current version. If Codingrobots offers the app through the Mac App Store, you can also try updating through the App Store instead. Since we have approximately two years until Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028), contact the vendor directly if you are uncertain whether they have released a native build — the sooner you know, the sooner you can plan any migration if needed.
