Notes Importer

Notes Importer is a Spotlight plugin component bundled with or installed by GrowlyBird Software's tooling, not a standalone app. It does not update through the Mac App Store or a separate vendor download page — instead it is updated by reinstalling or updating the parent GrowlyBird product that installed it on your system. First, identify which GrowlyBird application installed this plugin (it may be part of a larger note-taking or productivity tool, or installed as a system extension). Then visit GrowlyBird Software's website or the relevant product page to check for updates to that parent application. When you update the parent product, the Spotlight plugin will be updated alongside it. If you cannot identify the host application, contact GrowlyBird Software directly to confirm whether a native Apple Silicon build of the plugin is available, as Intel-only Spotlight importers will stop working entirely when Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028).
