MSTeamsAudioDevice

MSTeamsAudioDevice is a CoreAudio driver component bundled inside Microsoft Teams, not a separately installed application. To upgrade it to the native Apple Silicon version, you must update Microsoft Teams itself. Microsoft Teams for Mac has shipped native Apple Silicon (Universal Binary) support since 2022, and the CoreAudio driver component is updated automatically as part of that bundle. The simplest path is to launch Microsoft Teams, click your profile picture in the top right, select "Check for updates", and let Teams pull down the current native build. Alternatively, manually download the latest Teams installer from the official Microsoft download page at teams.microsoft.com/downloads — the installer will automatically detect your Mac's architecture and install the native version. If Teams was originally installed via the Mac App Store, update through the App Store instead, which will keep the app synchronized. After updating Teams to the current version, the MSTeamsAudioDevice CoreAudio driver will also be upgraded to its native Apple Silicon build, restoring full performance for audio handling in calls and meetings.
