ImageLib2

ImageLib2 is a framework component embedded within Plustek Scanner Drivers and is not separately updatable. To ensure it runs natively on Apple Silicon, you must update the Plustek Scanner Drivers host application itself. Visit Plustek's official support website, locate the driver package for your scanner model and macOS version, download the latest available driver installer, and run it — this will update ImageLib2 and all other components bundled within the drivers. If you have an older Intel-only version of the Plustek Scanner Drivers installed, the updated driver package will include the native Apple Silicon build. Check Plustek's driver compatibility matrix to confirm your scanner model is supported on Apple Silicon Macs, as some older hardware may have limited or no native driver support. Since Apple is removing Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028), it is important to confirm your scanner drivers have a native build available before that release date — if Plustek has not shipped native drivers for your model by then, the software will stop working entirely.
