Premiere Pro

Adobe Premiere Pro has shipped a native Apple Silicon build since version 24.0 (released in late 2023), and as of version 25.0 and later, Rosetta 2 emulation is no longer supported — meaning Intel-only builds will not run on M-series Macs at all. The current version 26.0 is a fully native ARM64 build. To update, open Creative Cloud desktop, navigate to your Apps section, and click Update next to Premiere Pro to pull the current native build. Alternatively, you can launch Premiere Pro itself and use Help → Check for Updates. Either method will automatically serve you the native build on your M-series Mac. After updating, expect significantly better performance, lower CPU usage, and improved battery life compared to any older Intel builds running under Rosetta. If you maintain any third-party plugins (colour grading, effects, or export extensions), verify that your plugin vendors have released native ARM64-compatible versions before upgrading, as Intel-only plugins will no longer load in the new native build.
