Adobe Photoshop Elements 14

Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 is over a decade old and Adobe has not released a new version in many years. The company discontinued this product line years ago and shifted the Elements name to subscription-based cloud services. There is no native Apple Silicon build of Elements 14, and Adobe has shown no sign of releasing one. The Intel-only version will stop launching entirely when Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028). If you rely on Elements for photo editing, you have several paths forward. Affinity Photo is a polished, actively maintained native app that runs natively on Apple Silicon, offers a similar feature set to Elements, and costs significantly less than a subscription. Pixelmator Pro is another excellent native alternative with a one-time purchase model. For lighter editing, Apple's built-in Photos app with its edit tools may be sufficient. Before the September 2028 deadline, review which of these suits your workflow and begin migrating your library — Elements 14 will not survive that release.
