IK Multimedia's official FAQ (as of our latest data) confirms that most IK products, including AmpliTube versions, currently run under Rosetta 2 emulation on Apple Silicon Macs and are not yet released as native builds. However, the company is actively maintaining the AmpliTube product line — AmpliTube 5 received updates as recently as July 2024 (version 5.8.1). We recommend upgrading to AmpliTube 5 if you can, as it is more likely to receive native Apple Silicon support when IK Multimedia releases it. If you must stay with AmpliTube 4, it will continue to run under Rosetta 2, but expect it to remain Intel-translated indefinitely. Monitor IK Multimedia's website and the IK Product Manager for native Apple Silicon announcements.
