Despite years of user requests and Apple's guidance to developers since 2020, Intuit has not released a Universal Binary or native Apple Silicon version. The search results show ongoing community frustration about poor performance and longer launch times on M1/M2 Macs. Since TurboTax is actively maintained with annual releases, there's hope Intuit may eventually provide native Apple Silicon support, but there's no indication of when this might happen.
