AI Analysis

Unity Hub is the installer and version management utility for the Unity game engine, maintained by Unity Technologies. It lets developers download and manage multiple versions of Unity on a single machine, organise projects, browse asset templates and tutorials, and monitor project dependencies. Game developers, 3D artists, and studios use Unity Hub as their entry point to creating 2D and 3D games, interactive experiences, and real-time applications across PC, mobile, consoles, and web. The app runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux and serves as the central launcher for all Unity editor instances on a machine.

A native Apple Silicon build of Unity Hub has been confirmed running on real Macs in the Rosetta Check community. If you are still running the Intel-only version under Rosetta, update to the latest version of Unity Hub from the official Unity download page. The native build will use noticeably less CPU, memory, and battery while managing projects and downloading editor versions. Update via the built-in update mechanism inside the app (Help → Check for Updates) or download the current installer directly from Unity's website. Note that the Unity Editor itself (the main development environment) also has native Apple Silicon support in recent releases, so updating both Hub and your editor versions will give you the full native performance benefit.
