BlueHarvest
Universal version seen at v8.4 · Reported by 1 Mac in the community.
BlueHarvest is a Mac utility that automatically removes hidden metadata files created by macOS, such as .DS_Store files, ._AppleDouble files, and .Trashes folders from external drives, USB keys, SD cards, and file servers. It's particularly useful for Mac users who regularly share files with Windows users or work with external storage devices, as these hidden files can clutter non-Mac systems and cause confusion. The app works silently in the background, cleaning up these metadata files as they're created without requiring user intervention. BlueHarvest version 8 added a Storage Cleaner feature to help free up additional disk space. A native Apple Silicon version has been confirmed running on real Macs in our user base.
