MultiMC

MultiMC itself is not yet available as a native Apple Silicon build — the download from multimc.org still ships the Intel-only launcher. However, this does not prevent you from playing native Minecraft on Apple Silicon Macs. The launcher can run under Rosetta 2 and still launch Minecraft with an ARM-native Java runtime, giving you the performance benefits of native execution for the actual game. To do this: download MultiMC from multimc.org as usual, install an ARM-native Java Development Kit (such as Azul Zulu 17 or 21 for newer Minecraft versions), create a Minecraft instance in MultiMC, and configure that instance to use the ARM Java runtime you installed. Detailed guides are available on community sites like Info Toast and the RetroMC wiki if you need step-by-step help. This approach has been working reliably since 2021 for all modern Minecraft versions. That said, if you prefer a launcher that is itself natively built for Apple Silicon, the community project ManyMC is a fork of MultiMC that includes native arm64 support and functions identically to the original. Whichever you choose, you have time — this arrangement will continue to work under Rosetta 2 until Apple removes it in macOS 28 (September 2028), at which point the MultiMC launcher itself will no longer launch unless you switch to ManyMC or the original developers release a native MultiMC build.
