Apogee Maestro 2 has been discontinued and replaced with Apogee Control 2, which is the native Apple Silicon-compatible successor. If you own a modern Apogee interface (Duet, Quartet, One, or Duet for iPad and Mac) and are running an Apple Silicon Mac, you must use Apogee Control 2 instead — Maestro 2 will not receive further updates and will stop launching entirely when Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028). Download Apogee Control 2 from the Apogee website (apogeedigital.com) to replace Maestro 2. Note that Control 2 has some known differences from Maestro 2 (no on-screen volume pop-ups, no Logic Device Control for input switching, no Mac keyboard volume control), but all core functionality is supported. If you are on an Intel Mac and still need to control an older Apogee interface, Maestro 2 continues to work on Intel machines under Rosetta; firmware updates for these interfaces require an Intel Mac and should be performed on macOS 10.15 Catalina or earlier via the firmware updater included with the Maestro 2 installer.
