This is a helper component of Sophos Connect, not a standalone application. It cannot be updated separately through the App Store or a generic download. To get a native Apple Silicon version of this daemon, you must update the entire Sophos security suite through Sophos's official update channel. If you have Sophos installed, the application itself includes a built-in updater — check the main Sophos application menu for an "Update" or "Check for Updates" option, or visit your Sophos management console if your Mac is managed by an organization. Sophos has shipped native Apple Silicon builds of its security products for several years, so updating to the latest version of the main Sophos application will automatically replace this Intel-only daemon with its native counterpart. If you are unsure whether a native build is installed, the Sophos application's About or System Information dialog will show the architecture. Keeping Sophos up to date is particularly important as Apple removes Rosetta 2 support in macOS 28 (September 2028), after which any Intel-only security components will stop running entirely.
