GrandPerspective is a free, open-source disk space analysis utility for macOS that displays file system usage as an interactive treemap visualization. Instead of showing a flat list of files and folders, it renders disk contents as nested rectangles sized proportionally to how much space each item occupies, making it easy to spot large files and directories at a glance. It is used by Mac owners who need to understand which folders are consuming disk space and reclaim storage on their machines. The app is available both directly from SourceForge and through the Mac App Store.

1 suggestionA native Apple Silicon (Universal Binary) build of GrandPerspective has been confirmed running on real Macs in the Rosetta Check community. Anyone still running an older Intel-only build under Rosetta should update to the latest version to get the native build, which will run more efficiently on M-series Macs. You can download the latest version directly from SourceForge, or if your copy came from the Mac App Store, update through the App Store instead. No data or settings are lost when upgrading.
