FreeCAD-1.0.2-39319
FreeCAD is a powerful, open-source 3D parametric modeling application used for computer-aided design (CAD) and engineering. It's particularly popular among engineers, architects, product designers, and makers who need to create precise 3D models, technical drawings, and mechanical designs. The software supports parametric modeling, meaning you can easily modify designs by changing parameters, and it includes specialized workbenches for different disciplines like architectural design, finite element analysis, and 3D printing preparation. FreeCAD is completely free and supports a wide range of file formats, making it a popular alternative to expensive commercial CAD software.

1 suggestionGreat news! FreeCAD now has native Apple Silicon support. The developer has released FreeCAD 1.1.1 with a dedicated ARM64 build for Apple Silicon Macs. Since you're currently running version 1.0.2, you should update to the latest 1.1.1 version to get native performance. You can download the new version directly from the FreeCAD website or install it via Homebrew. The newer version will run much faster on your Apple Silicon Mac and won't require Rosetta 2. Make sure to download the 'macOS-arm64' version specifically.
