It supports a wide range of GPS data formats including GPX, TCX, KML, FIT, IGC, NMEA, GeoJSON and OziExplorer files. The app displays tracks on interactive maps, plots elevation and speed graphs, and analyzes route statistics without the overhead of full-featured GIS software. It is commonly used by hikers, cyclists, pilots, and outdoor enthusiasts to review recorded activities and examine flight or sports tracks in detail. GPXSee is built on Qt and runs cross-platform on macOS, Windows and Linux.
Suggested Replacements
1 suggestionA native Apple Silicon (Universal Binary) build of GPXSee has been confirmed running on real Macs. Anyone still running an older Intel-only version under Rosetta should update to the latest build, which will deliver noticeably better performance and battery efficiency on M-series Macs. Download the current version directly from gpxsee.org, which automatically serves the appropriate build for your Mac architecture. All your map settings, POI files, and preferences carry over seamlessly.
