Libation
Libation is a free, open-source application for downloading and managing Audible audiobooks on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It decrypts your library, removes DRM protection, and allows you to back up, organize, and search your audiobooks. The app lets you export audiobooks to standard formats like MP3 and M4B so you can listen on any device or player of your choice. It is maintained by the open-source community and serves users who want to own and preserve their audiobook collections without vendor lock-in.
Suggested Replacements
1 suggestionLibation already ships with a native Apple Silicon (arm64) build alongside the Intel version. The macOS installation page clearly lists separate downloads for Apple Silicon and Intel, so if you're running an M1, M2 or later Mac, download the arm64 DMG file directly from the latest release on GitHub or the official Libation website. The app is actively maintained, so you should be getting native performance on Apple Silicon Macs already. If you are still running the Intel build under Rosetta, simply download and install the current arm64 version to switch.
