Wine Crossover
Wine Crossover (branded as CrossOver) is a compatibility layer that allows macOS users to run Windows software directly on their Mac without needing to install Windows itself. Developed by CodeWeavers, it translates Windows API calls to macOS equivalents, enabling users to run productivity applications, games, and other Windows programs natively. It's particularly popular among software developers, gamers, and professionals who need to run legacy or Windows-only applications as part of their workflow. The tool includes a graphical interface for managing Windows applications and provides better performance and integration than virtualization approaches.

1 suggestion**Good news: CrossOver now has native Apple Silicon support.** CodeWeavers released a fully universal (Intel + Apple Silicon) version of CrossOver starting with version 24.0 and later. Version 26.1.0 is currently available and includes full native Apple Silicon support. You can upgrade directly through the CodeWeavers website or via Homebrew. No migration or alternative is needed—simply update to the latest version (26.1.0 or newer) to get native ARM64 performance on Apple Silicon Macs. The app will run natively without any Rosetta 2 translation.
