Quicklook-PFM

Quicklook-PFM is a QuickLook generator — a system extension that integrates into macOS, not a standalone application. It is not updated separately from its parent product or system installer. To check whether a native Apple Silicon build exists, visit the Pfm vendor's website or GitHub repository to determine whether they ship an updated version of Quicklook-PFM. If Pfm has released a native build, download and reinstall it using their official installer; simply replacing the plugin bundle in ~/Library/QuickLook/ or /Library/QuickLook/ will update the system. If the vendor has not yet released a native version and you rely on PFM preview support, contact Pfm directly to ask about their Apple Silicon support timeline — Intel-only QuickLook generators will stop working when Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028). As an interim workaround, you can open PFM files in a general-purpose image viewer or HDR editor that ships natively on Apple Silicon, such as GIMP or ImageMagick.
