hangAlert

hangAlert is not a standalone app — it is a helper component that ships as part of Microsoft Office for macOS. You cannot update it separately. If you are using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, or OneNote), simply ensure your entire Office suite is up to date via Microsoft AutoUpdate (Help → Check for Updates within any Office app, or System Settings → General → Software Update). Microsoft ships native Apple Silicon builds of all Office applications, so updating to the latest version will automatically replace the Intel-only hangAlert helper with its native equivalent. There is nothing else you need to do for this component.
