This is not a standalone application but a system-level helper component bundled inside VMware Fusion or VMware Remote Console. It cannot be updated or installed on its own. To get a native Apple Silicon version of this helper, you must update the parent VMware product itself. Check your VMware installation — if it is Fusion, visit vmware.com/products/fusion and download the latest native build for Apple Silicon; if it is Remote Console, do the same at vmware.com/products/remoteconsole. Run the VMware installer and it will automatically replace both the main application and all bundled helpers (including this launchDaemon) with native versions. If the parent VMware product is already on a recent build from 2023 or later, it likely already includes an Apple Silicon-native version of this helper, and you need only verify that VMware itself is up to date. Intel-only versions of this helper will stop working when Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028), so ensure the parent VMware product is updated to a native build well before that deadline.
