FileShredder

FileShredder is a secure file deletion utility for macOS that permanently erases sensitive files by overwriting them multiple times using cryptographically verified patterns (such as DoD 5220.22-M and NIST standards), making recovery impossible even with forensic tools. Unlike macOS's standard trash deletion, which leaves file data recoverable, FileShredder renders deleted files unrecoverable. The app supports drag-and-drop and right-click deletion methods and is designed for users who need to securely erase documents, personal data, or other sensitive files before disposing of a Mac or external drive.
