QLAddict

QLAddict is a QuickLook generator plugin — a system extension that works alongside macOS's built-in QuickLook framework, not a standalone application. It is not updated through the App Store or a separate vendor download; instead, it is installed and updated by reinstalling the parent product from Sub. To update QLAddict to a version that runs natively on Apple Silicon, contact Sub directly or visit the vendor's website to download the latest installer for QLAddict. After running the installer, the native version of the plugin will be placed in the appropriate system QuickLook directory (/Library/QuickLook or ~/Library/QuickLook) and will be automatically discovered by macOS. You do not need to restart Finder or perform any manual configuration — once the plugin is installed, QuickLook preview requests will use the native version. If Sub has not yet released a native Apple Silicon build of QLAddict, contact the vendor to ask about their timeline, as the current Intel-only build will stop working when Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028).
