FabFilter Pro-Q

FabFilter Pro-Q is a plugin component that ships as part of the FabFilter Total Bundle and must be updated through FabFilter's own installer, not through the App Store or generic downloads. The current version (Pro-Q 4) has been available in native Apple Silicon VST3 format since its release and FabFilter has confirmed that all current bundles are built for both Intel and Apple Silicon architectures. To get the latest native build: visit fabfilter.com, download the FabFilter Total Bundle installer for macOS, and run it — the installer will automatically detect your Mac architecture and install the native Apple Silicon VST3 version. If you are running an older version of Pro-Q (3.x or earlier) under Rosetta 2, simply updating to the latest FabFilter bundle through the official installer will replace it with the native build, and you will see improved performance and reduced CPU usage immediately. FabFilter continues to ship native builds as standard, so you are not at risk from the September 2028 Rosetta 2 removal.
