About This App

CampTune is a disk partition management utility for Macs running Boot Camp, the built-in tool that allows dual-booting Windows on Intel-based Macs. CampTune lets users dynamically resize the macOS and Windows partitions without data loss, using a simple slider interface to redistribute storage space. This is useful when one partition runs low on disk space or a Windows application requires more room. The app works with Fusion Drive, FileVault encryption, and APFS (Apple File System), and guides users through a safe boot-environment resize process using bootable media created on a USB drive. CampTune is primarily used by dual-boot Windows users on older Intel Macs who need flexible partition management.

CampTune was discontinued by Paragon Software and no longer receives updates or support. More importantly, Boot Camp itself — the underlying Windows dual-boot technology that CampTune manages — was only ever available on Intel-based Macs and has not been supported on Apple Silicon Macs at all. Since the move to Apple Silicon (starting with the M1 in late 2020), Macs cannot run Boot Camp or Windows in the traditional dual-boot mode, making CampTune non-functional on current hardware regardless of architecture emulation. The app will not run under Rosetta 2 anyway since Boot Camp partitions no longer exist on Apple Silicon Macs. If you are running CampTune on an older Intel Mac and still need Windows, your options are virtualization tools like Parallels Desktop (native Apple Silicon support) or VMware Fusion (native Apple Silicon support), which can run Windows within a virtual machine. These tools continue to be actively developed and work on both Intel and M-series Macs. If you are planning to migrate to Apple Silicon, CampTune will be completely replaced by virtualization.
