Emissary

Emissary is an AAX plugin for Pro Tools, not a standalone app, so it is not updated separately. To get a native Apple Silicon version of Emissary, you must first ensure Pro Tools itself is running a current native build (Pro Tools 2023.6 or later), then update the plugin through Ignite Amps' installer or the vendor's update mechanism. Visit the Ignite Amps website to download the latest native-compatible version of Emissary for AAX; the vendor's installer will place the plugin in Pro Tools' plugin directory. If Ignite Amps provides an update tool or account portal (common among professional plugin vendors), use that instead — it ensures compatibility with your Pro Tools version. Once both Pro Tools and Emissary are on current native builds, you will see improved performance and battery life on M-series Macs. With over two years until Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028), there is time to plan the transition, but confirm with Ignite Amps now that a native AAX build of Emissary is available or in development.
