Vienna Instruments Pro

Vienna Instruments Pro is a VST3 plugin component, not a standalone application, and it must be updated through its host product or vendor installer. Vienna Symphonic Library announced in August 2023 that Vienna Instruments Pro now ships with native Apple Silicon support, so native builds are available. However, the plugin is primarily distributed and updated through Vienna Ensemble Pro (the mixing host) or by direct download from the Vienna Symphonic Library website. To get the native Apple Silicon version of Vienna Instruments Pro: visit the VSL website (vsl.co.at) or use Vienna Ensemble Pro's plugin manager if you have it installed, and download the current Vienna Instruments Pro build — the vendor automatically serves the native version on Apple Silicon Macs. If you are using Vienna Ensemble Pro as your host, ensure it is also updated to the native Apple Silicon build (Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 is fully Silicon-compatible as of August 2023). The native VST3 plugin will integrate seamlessly with any compatible DAW running natively on Apple Silicon, such as Logic Pro, Studio One, Cubase, or Ableton Live. If you are still running the Intel version under Rosetta, updating to the native build will improve CPU efficiency and reduce latency during orchestral composition and mixing work.
