This is an FxPlug component that runs only within Final Cut Pro — it cannot be updated independently. To get a native Apple Silicon version of this transition effect, you need to update Red Giant Universe through Red Giant's own installer (Red Giant Link or the vendor's download portal at redgiant.com), not through the App Store or Final Cut Pro's built-in plugin manager. Red Giant has released native Apple Silicon builds of the Universe suite, so downloading the latest version from their site and running the installer will replace the Intel version with a native build. Once installed, Final Cut Pro will automatically load the native version of the Glitch Transition plugin the next time you launch the application. If you have not updated Universe in some time, checking redgiant.com for the latest release is the first step.
