This is an FxPlug plugin for Final Cut Pro, not a standalone application. To update it, use Red Giant's plugin installer — most likely Red Giant Installer, FxFactory, or a component included in the Red Giant Complete or Red Giant Trapcode suites depending on which Red Giant product bundle you own. Visit Red Giant Software's website (redgiantsoft.com) to download the latest installer for your subscription or purchased product. The installer will update Universe Glow Point Zoom and all other included Red Giant plugins to their native Apple Silicon builds. Once your Final Cut Pro is running on a native Apple Silicon build and you have installed the latest Red Giant plugin updates, the effect will work natively. Be aware that we are now in 2026, and Apple will remove Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028), so if your Red Giant plugins are still Intel-only, ensure they are updated before that deadline.
