DeveloperColorPicker is a system extension (Color Picker plug-in) that integrates into the macOS Color Picker dialog rather than running as a standalone app. There is nothing to download or update separately — the extension is part of the macOS system itself. If you have an older Intel-only version of DeveloperColorPicker, the way to get the native Apple Silicon version is to update macOS itself to the latest version your Mac supports. Open System Settings, go to General → Software Update, and install the latest available macOS release. This will refresh all system extensions and color picker plug-ins to their native Apple Silicon builds. Keeping macOS current is especially important now, since Apple is removing Rosetta 2 support in macOS 28 (late 2027) — any Intel-only extensions will stop working on that release, so ensuring your system extensions are native-compiled is part of staying prepared.
