This is an FxPlug effect generator that ships as part of Red Giant's Universe plugin suite for Final Cut Pro. You do not update it separately — instead, update Red Giant Universe through Red Giant's official installer or update mechanism. Visit the Red Giant website and use their installer to update Universe to the latest version, which will include native Apple Silicon builds of all bundled generators including this soft gradient effect. Make sure your copy of Final Cut Pro itself is also on a current native build (Final Cut Pro 10.7 or later), as FxPlug effects require a native host to run natively. Once both Universe and Final Cut Pro are on native builds, this effect will run natively on your Apple Silicon Mac with full performance benefits.
