Vari Comp

Vari Comp is a VST plugin component, not a standalone app — it runs inside your DAW and is updated through Native Instruments' official distribution channel, not through the App Store or generic downloads. Native Instruments has confirmed that Vari Comp is part of their Komplete Effects lineup and ships with native Apple Silicon (arm64) support as of the latest builds. To get the native version, download and run Native Access, Native Instruments' plugin manager, which will detect your installed plugins and pull any available updates — including the native Vari Comp build if your DAW host is also on a recent native version. If you prefer manual installation, visit the Native Instruments product support page and download the latest Vari Comp installer directly, then run it to replace the Intel-only version on your system. Your host DAW must also be running a native build for the native plugin to be useful; most major DAWs (Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Reaper, Cubase) have been shipping native Apple Silicon support since 2021–2022, so check your DAW's latest release notes if you are unsure.
