Massive X is a wavetable synthesizer plugin from Native Instruments, and the flagship successor to the original Massive. It is available in VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats for use in Digital Audio Workstations. The synth offers a completely redesigned oscillator section with over 170 wavetables and multiple modulation modes, intuitive audio routing that allows rewiring of the synth architecture, a Performer section for drawn modulation patterns, 16 assignable macro controls, and a library of factory presets spanning bass, ambient, cinematic, and electronic music styles. It is widely used by producers, sound designers, and musicians working in genres including EDM, dubstep, synthwave and film scoring. A native Apple Silicon build has been confirmed running on Macs in the Rosetta Check community.
AI Recommendation
1 suggestionMassive X has a native Apple Silicon build available — you do not need to wait for a future update. To install the native version, open Native Access (Native Instruments' plugin and product manager) on your Mac and navigate to Massive X in your library. If an update is available, Native Access will display it; select "Update" to download and install the native Universal Binary build. After updating, your DAW will load the native ARM64 version of the VST3 plugin automatically on the next launch. If you have an older version of Native Access installed, update Native Access itself first from the Native Instruments website to ensure you receive the latest Massive X builds. Existing presets, patches and settings will carry over without any manual migration needed.
