WaveShell-AU is a system component of the Waves plugin ecosystem, not a standalone app, and cannot be updated separately. The native Apple Silicon build of WaveShell-AU and all associated Waves plugins is managed through Waves Central, Waves Audio's official plugin installer and update manager. Open Waves Central on your Mac, check for available updates, and install them — Waves has shipped native Apple Silicon builds for all current plugins since version 13 (released in 2022), so updating will automatically give you the native arm64 versions of WaveShell-AU and your installed Waves plugins. If you do not yet have Waves Central installed, download it from the Waves website to manage and update your plugin ecosystem. After updating through Waves Central, you may need to rescan your plugins in your DAW to register the newly updated native versions.
