Universe Glow is an FxPlug plugin for Final Cut Pro, not a standalone app, so it cannot be updated separately. To get a native Apple Silicon build of this effect, you need to update Red Giant's products through Red Giant's own installer. Visit redgiant.com or launch the Red Giant Installer (if already installed) to download the latest version of the Universe Glow effect or the complete Effects Suite. Once installed, the plugin will be available in Final Cut Pro's effects library. Ensure Final Cut Pro itself is also updated to the current version via the App Store — Final Cut Pro ships as a native app and will automatically load native versions of compatible plugins. If you are running older Red Giant software, updating through the Red Giant installer will give you the native Apple Silicon build and significantly improve performance on M-series Macs compared to running under Rosetta 2.
