HWPortCfg

HWPortCfg is a launch agent helper component, not a standalone app, so it cannot be updated on its own. To update it, you must reinstall or update the parent Huawei product that installed it in the first place. To identify which Huawei application on your Mac owns this component, check /Library/LaunchAgents/ for any corresponding plist files or search your Applications folder for Huawei-branded software (such as Huawei Cloud Drive, Huawei Assistant, or device management tools). Once you have identified the host product, visit Huawei's official support website or use that product's built-in update mechanism to pull the latest version — this will update the HWPortCfg helper along with it. If the parent product does not have a native Apple Silicon build yet, be aware that Apple is removing Rosetta 2 support in macOS 28 (late 2027), so the entire Huawei product suite running under Rosetta will stop working on that release. Contact Huawei support now to confirm whether a native build is available for your Huawei software before that deadline approaches.
