Apowersoft Audio Device

Apowersoft Audio Device is a system audio driver component, not a standalone application, so it cannot be updated separately through the App Store or by re-downloading from a vendor website. The driver is installed and maintained by the parent Apowersoft application that prompted its installation—typically Apowersoft Screen Recorder or another Apowersoft recording tool. To update the driver to a native Apple Silicon version (if one exists), you must update the parent Apowersoft application through its own update mechanism. Check the Apowersoft application's Help or Settings menu for a Check for Updates option, or visit the Apowersoft website directly to download the latest version of the parent application for your Mac architecture. If you no longer use the Apowersoft application, the audio driver can be uninstalled by removing the parent app and then manually deleting the driver component from /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ if it persists. Given that this is a specialized audio system component with limited public information about native Apple Silicon support, contact Apowersoft support directly to confirm whether a native HAL driver build exists before the September 2028 macOS 28 deadline, at which point Rosetta 2 emulation will no longer be available.
