Torpedo Wall Of Sound

Torpedo Wall of Sound is an Audio Unit plugin and does not run natively on Apple Silicon — it requires Rosetta 2 translation. Two Notes has not released a native Apple Silicon build of Wall of Sound, and based on their support documentation and community discussions dating back to 2021, the company has shifted focus to their newer product Genome instead. Rosetta 2 will be removed from macOS in September 2028 (macOS 28), so this plugin will stop working on that release. If you rely on Wall of Sound today, you have two paths. First, check Twonotes' website to confirm whether they have released a native AU version since late 2024 — if a native build has appeared, update your plugin through Twonotes' installer. Second, if native Wall of Sound remains unavailable, Twonotes recommends Genome (currently in beta) as the successor product, which they are optimising for native Apple Silicon use; you would need to migrate your presets and cabinet IRs to the new plugin, which involves some workflow change. Alternatively, other native Apple Silicon–compatible guitar cabinet and impulse response AU plugins include STL Tonedesk, Archetype (iZotope), and Neural DSP Archetype models, all of which run natively and are actively maintained.
