Super 8

Super 8 is an Audio Unit (AU) component that lives inside Reaktor and other compatible DAWs — it is not a standalone app and cannot be updated separately. Native Instruments has developed native Apple Silicon support for Reaktor and its embedded instruments, including Super 8, but the Audio Unit plugin format for this instrument currently lacks full native support. To get the best compatibility and any available native builds, update Reaktor itself using Native Instruments' Native Access application, which is the official vendor portal for managing NI products. Launch Native Access, check for updates to Reaktor, and install the latest version available — this will bring Super 8 (the Reaktor plugin version) to its current native-readiness state. Be aware that while Reaktor 6.5 and later added native Apple Silicon support for the Reaktor environment itself, not all legacy Reaktor instruments have been fully ported to native Audio Unit format; if you are running a native-Silicon DAW, you may need to use Reaktor in Rosetta mode for this particular plugin. Given that Apple is removing Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028), check Native Instruments' roadmap and release notes regularly to confirm whether a full native Audio Unit version of Super 8 is planned, and contact NI support if native AU support is critical to your workflow.
