This is an FxPlug effect plugin that runs inside Apple Final Cut Pro, not a standalone application. To update it to a native Apple Silicon build (if available), you must use Red Giant's own installer or update tool — typically Red Giant Link or the Red Giant installer — rather than downloading from the App Store or a generic download page. First, ensure Final Cut Pro itself is on a current native build (Final Cut Pro 10.7 or newer supports Apple Silicon natively). Then visit the Red Giant website or launch Red Giant Link to check whether a native Apple Silicon build of the Universe Glow effect is available. If Red Giant has not yet shipped a native build, the plugin will continue to run under Rosetta 2 until Apple removes it in macOS 28 (September 2028), at which point this Intel-only plugin will stop working.
