Blacksun

Blacksun is an AAX plugin for Pro Tools, not a standalone application, so it is not updated through the App Store or a generic download. To get a native Apple Silicon version of Blacksun, you must update Pro Tools itself to version 2023.6 or later, at which point Pro Tools will natively support AAX plugins compiled for Apple Silicon. Check the AudioAssault website or contact their support directly to confirm whether Blacksun has been updated to a native Apple Silicon build. If AudioAssault has not yet released a native version, the plugin will continue to run under Rosetta 2 within Pro Tools until Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (late 2027). At that point, you will need either a native-compatible version of Blacksun or an alternative plugin. Update Pro Tools through Avid's Application Manager (Avid → Check for Updates within Pro Tools, or via the Avid Application Manager utility) to ensure you are on the latest native-compatible host version.
