Mr Hector

Mr Hector is an AAX plug-in that runs inside Avid Pro Tools, not as a standalone app. To get a native Apple Silicon version, two things must align: Pro Tools itself must be updated to version 2023.6 or later (which is the first Pro Tools release with native Apple Silicon support), and the Mr Hector plug-in must be updated to its native build through Auroradsp's installer or update mechanism. Start by checking Auroradsp's website for a native AAX version of Mr Hector and any required installation or license steps (many third-party AAX plug-ins use iLok or vendor-specific license managers). Then ensure Pro Tools itself is on a current native build by launching Pro Tools and checking Help → About Pro Tools to see the version number; if you are below 2023.6, update through the Avid Application Manager. Once both Pro Tools and Mr Hector are native, the combination will run natively on Apple Silicon without Rosetta 2. Since you are running this on an Intel build under Rosetta today, updating both products will unlock the full performance benefits of Apple Silicon, and will also ensure your setup continues to work when Apple removes Rosetta 2 entirely in macOS 28 (late 2027).
