Head Crusher v2

Head Crusher v2 is an AAX plugin for Pro Tools, not a standalone application, so it cannot be updated independently. To get a native Apple Silicon–compatible version, you need to update through Audioassault's own installer or distribution channel. First, ensure you are running Pro Tools 2023.6 or newer — Avid only added full native Apple Silicon support from that version onward, and older Pro Tools versions cannot load native AAX plugins reliably. Once Pro Tools is current, visit Audioassault's website or contact their support to download and install a native-compatible build of Head Crusher v2. AAX plugins must match their host's architecture (native-to-native, Intel-to-Intel), so the plugin vendor's installer will detect your Pro Tools version and serve the correct build. If Audioassault has not yet published a native Apple Silicon build, contact them directly and reference the late 2027 deadline when Apple removes Rosetta 2 — at that point, an Intel-only AAX plugin will no longer load in Pro Tools, regardless of the host app's architecture.
