This is a helper daemon bundled inside MacKeeper from Zeobit — there is nothing to update separately. The daemon is part of the larger MacKeeper installation and cannot be updated on its own. However, it is important to note that MacKeeper itself has been widely considered problematic by the Mac community for many years. Apple Community forums from 2013–2018 consistently characterise MacKeeper as adware or potentially unwanted software that hijacks browsers, generates spam pop-ups, and provides little genuine security benefit. Expert Mac users recommend against using MacKeeper at all, as modern macOS (when kept up to date) has built-in security that does not require third-party maintenance utilities. If you have MacKeeper installed and wish to remove it entirely, the proper uninstall procedure involves going to System Preferences → Users & Groups → Login Items and removing any MacKeeper-related entries, then deleting the MacKeeper.app from Applications.
