About This App

Stylus RMX is a groove-based virtual instrument plugin from Spectrasonics, used by music producers and composers to create, manipulate and perform rhythmic patterns. It features the advanced Groove Control and S.A.G.E. (Spectrasonics Advanced Groove Engine) technology, Time Designer, Chaos Designer, and access to nearly 10,000 grooves and sounds across its Xpanded edition. The plugin can be expanded with REX files and third-party libraries, making it an industry-standard tool for beat creation and real-time performance. It is available as a VST, AU, AAX and RTAS plugin. A native Apple Silicon build has been confirmed running on Macs in the Rosetta Check community.

Stylus RMX now has a native Apple Silicon build available. To upgrade from your Intel version, use the Spectrasonics Installer — the vendor's own update and license-management tool — which automatically serves the Universal Binary on Apple Silicon Macs. Open the Spectrasonics Installer (or download it from spectrasonics.net if you do not have it), log in with your Spectrasonics account, and initiate an update or reinstall of Stylus RMX. The native version will be installed in place of the Intel build, preserving your settings and library data. Your host DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) will recognize and load the new native plugin architecture automatically on next launch. This will deliver noticeably better performance and lower CPU overhead compared to running the Intel build under Rosetta 2.
