Trackspacer is an AAX (Pro Tools) dynamics processor plugin by Wavesfactory that creates space in a mix by analysing a sidechain source signal and carving out its frequencies from a target track in real-time. Rather than traditional multiband compression, Trackspacer splits the incoming signal into 32 frequency bands and applies a reversed EQ curve to duck those exact frequencies, making it transparent and precise for vocal placement, low-end management and mixing clarity. It is widely used by audio engineers and music producers working in Pro Tools. A native Apple Silicon build has been confirmed running on Macs in the Rosetta Check community.
AI Recommendation
1 suggestionTrackspacer now ships a native AAX build for Apple Silicon. To update Pro Tools to the latest version that hosts the native plugin, open Pro Tools, go to Help → About Pro Tools, then Settings → Update Check to pull the newest available build. Once Pro Tools is updated to a current native version (2023.6 or later), the Trackspacer plugin will automatically present the native Apple Silicon build the next time you instantiate it in a session. Alternatively, visit wavesfactory.com to download or update Trackspacer directly using their plugin manager — the native version is available there as well. After updating, you will see noticeably lower CPU usage and better responsiveness when working with the plugin on Apple Silicon Macs.
