This is an FxPlug component, not a standalone app — it cannot be updated separately from Final Cut Pro. To get a native Apple Silicon version, ensure Final Cut Pro itself is on a current native build (Final Cut Pro 10.6 or later), then update the Universe plugin suite through Red Giant's installer or update mechanism. Red Giant's website has detailed instructions for updating Universe plugins on Apple Silicon Macs. If you have not yet updated Final Cut Pro to its native build, do that first via the Mac App Store — the native version has been available since 2021. Once Final Cut Pro is native, compatible FxPlug plugins including Universe should load and run natively as well. Check Red Giant's compatibility matrix to confirm Universe Toon Outlines is native Apple Silicon ready on your version of Final Cut Pro.
