iZotope RX 5 De-reverb

iZotope RX 5 is no longer in active development — iZotope has moved the RX product line forward to RX 6, 7, 8, 9 and beyond, with the most recent builds shipping native Apple Silicon support. RX 5 itself does not have a native build and there is no update path forward for the RX 5 plugin. Since this is a plugin component, it cannot be updated independently — it lives inside the host RX 5 application and is updated only by reinstalling or updating RX 5 itself. However, because RX 5 is effectively discontinued and will not receive a native build, this plugin will cease to function when Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028). The practical path forward is to upgrade to a current version of iZotope RX (version 9 or later) which ships with a native Apple Silicon build and includes the same de-reverb module along with many other restoration improvements. You can acquire a newer RX build through iZotope's website, and your license can often be upgraded at a discounted rate. Alternatively, if you use a DAW like Logic Pro or Reaper that includes built-in de-reverb or convolver reverb-removal tools, those may serve as a temporary workaround, though they will not match RX's specialized algorithms.
