RX 7 De-crackle

RX 7 De-crackle is an AAX plugin for Pro Tools and is not a standalone application—it must be installed and updated through iZotope's plugin manager. To ensure it runs natively on Apple Silicon, first confirm that Pro Tools itself is on version 2023.6 or newer (the version when Avid switched to native builds for Apple Silicon); older Pro Tools versions cannot load native AAX plugins. Then download the current iZotope RX installer from iZotope's website or via the iZotope Product Portal and run it to install or update the plugin to a native build. If you installed RX 7 via iLok License Manager, use that tool's plugin installer as well to pull any pending updates. Once both Pro Tools and the RX 7 plugin are native builds on M-series Macs, you will see improved performance and CPU efficiency during de-crackle processing. iZotope has shipped native Apple Silicon builds of RX since version 9, released in 2021, so any reasonably recent copy of RX 7 should offer a native option.
